Hi friends! I hope that you are having a great week thus far. It is finally October and I am so pumped! October is my favorite month of fall. I love Halloween, it is my birthday month, and this October I have a LOT of blessings to celebrate (more to come on those later!). Now, I just wish that the Georgia weather would be more fall-ish. Today, it will be 94 degrees, so needless to say, I am not wearing any real “fall clothes” yet. I would have a heat stroke if I tried to do that.

A few days ago I took my Instagram stories to discuss implementing a dairy free diet. I know that this is quite controversial, as many things in our world today are. There are so many different lifestyles, and many people are very passionate about their way of living. With that being said, this is something that I feel is best for me right now and I am willing to implement this way of living into my life.

Why I am going Dairy Free

So, for me personally, I have had issues with my hormones for about as long as I can remember. From PCOS to adult hormonal acne, and painful periods since I was in middle school, I am truthfully looking for a way to completely resolve my issues. Now, I say that I am attempting to completely resolve my issues. While eliminating dairy might not resolve everything, I am willing to give it a try. I have spoken with many other women who have eliminated dairy from their diet and overall, the results seem to be remarkable. What outcome am I hoping for? I am hoping that my skin will clear up and the pesky, repetitive breakouts will disappear, I am hoping for a decrease in bloating, better sleep habits, and increased energy. These are all side effects I have read about in regards to taking dairy away from one’s diet, and also, I have done so much reading on the internet (I know, you can’t believe everything you read).

I am also currently working on healing my gut. I have incorporated bone broth into my regimen, digestive enzymes, kombucha, and kimichi. After a few trips to the grocery store over the weekend, and countless time spent reading and researching, I have some great alternatives to items we all use and love. Salad dressings, dairy free mayo, condiments, protein, etc. I really want to share my finds with you all because I feel that what I have stumbled across are all items that would make this transition easier for you, should you ever decide that this is the best choice for you. Personally, I feel like the substitutes that I have discovered will definitely help ease the transition to dairy free.

Side note: do I intend to be dairy free forever? Probably not. I fully anticipate that I will eat a McDonald’s cheeseburger again one day, or indulge in a Domino’s pizza (my absolute favorite), OR lose my soul in queso at a Mexican restaurant. This is simply something that I am trying out. It is a bit of an experiment actually. I am not sure how my body will respond, I am not sure how I will be able to keep this up, or if I will even find it to be worth it. In the meantime, here are some great finds that I have found that I am intrigued in trying out and seeing if they pass the test(s).

Salad dressings, condiments, and marinades.

Coffee and/or coffee creamer

Protein

I am fully aware that the products might not be for everyone, but if you are considering cutting out dairy from your diet, I personally do not see the harm in trying these alternatives. Please note: I am not a medical professional. I recommend seeing your general practitioner should you have any specific medical conditions, or if you have any particular concerns with adapting of this lifestyle.

Also, I found a lot of these items on Amazon. I do know that some Primal Kitchen products are sold at certain grocery stores. You would have to check online by entering your location on the company website to find out if it sold locally or not. I definitely recommend checking out their website and educating yourself on their products.

I hope y’all found this helpful. I will be back at ya later this week with another blog post. Stay tuned!

Hello friends! Happy Friday and happy weekend to you. This week has been so busy for me. Work is slowly getting busier, as we are full steam ahead headed into our peak season. I am currently listening to a podcast and planning content out for the next few weeks. Speaking of podcasts, what is a podcast that you love? I am currently obsessed with Amy Young’s “Just What You Needed.” If you are a hard working girl like myself who is trying to do it all, exceed your goals, basically what feels like you are trying to conquer the world, but maybe you need a little real talk/pep talk, then this is your jam. Her podcasts are a cross between motivational and real talk. She definitely keeps sh*t real and I absolutely love it. I feel like I can relate to it on so many levels. I highly recommend it, so check it out and if you do, let me know how you like it!

A quick side note – can you believe that we are at the end of September? Like really? I feel like Christmas and New Year’s was last week. This year has seriously flown by. As a take a moment to reflect on this year, I feel so many different emotions. I feel thankful and shocked and excited. Life has thrown me many curve balls this year and shocked me beyond belief. But I am so thankful to be where I am at. I am working towards some serious goals and amazing things that I am confident will transform my life. Getting there and being on this journey is trying, however. I have questioned myself more times than I care to admit. I have broken down and had panic attacks more than I want to admit (honestly, it’s embarrassing, but it’s real life). I am grateful for the memories and lessons I have learned this year, and I am most thankful for being given so many opportunities. Life is truly a gift.

Now that I have gotten all I my feelings, I’d like to lighten the mood and bring you guys this past week’s best sellers on the blog. By the way, THANK YOU for shopping my links and LIKEtoKNOW.it. I make very little commission off of items sold. So, with this blog being my “side hustle”, I appreciate every purchase, every like, and every comment on my social media platforms. It truly puts me one step closer to reaching goals and dreams. So, thank you all. All of the best sellers are below, so take a moment to check them out.

Daisy Rose Checkered Backpack - You all know that I love Daisy Rose, which is a seller on Amazon. They have some of the most solid and legitimate designer dupes that I have found since I began blogging. They are affordable, on Amazon prime, and the quality of the items I have purchased are amazing. I cannot recommend their products enough. This backpack (which is fairly new, I believe) was a best seller this week. It is available in black, brown, and white.

Tassel Statement Earrings - I love this set of earrings because they are a much more affordable option to the Stella and Ruby earrings. They are $15 and on Amazon Prime. They also come in white, blue, pink, and a tan color. I have the colorful pair, as well as the white pair.

Glycolic Acid Face Wash - Okay I have talked about this cleanser probably about 845938450 times. I swear by it. It has been a repeat best seller from my blog. I use this in the morning and at night (I now double cleanse, thanks to Jen Reed). I use this first, followed by the Tula probiotic cleanser (I have also said that about the same amount of times). This cleanser has sold out a few times, but is normally restocked in a timely manner. And, it is yet another Amazon prime find and under $20.

Casual Midi Dress - I have this dress in two colors (mauve and black, of course). I really love this dress because you can dress it down with flats, or dress it up with wedges or heels. I think it also a great piece to transition into fall from summer if you pair of with a cardigan or light sweater.

I hope you had a moment to check out the few items I have featured above. Remember, I only talk about or promote items/products that I truly love. All of these items are amazing (in my opinion, that is). In addition, you can also always check out my profile on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. If you follow me on social media and you ever have a question, shoot me a DM. I am happy to answer truthfully.

Anyways, I hope you wonderful people have a great weekend. Do something fun, get some R&R, or whatever your heart desires. Just enjoy yourself, because we ALL deserve that!

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I haven’t blogged in a few weeks because life has been a little umm…hectic. It’s is also very unlike me to publish a blog post on a Monday, but I am feeling inspired this morning, so I figured why not?! I don’t know about you, but I am feeling refreshed after a weekend FULL of rest. I didn’t even leave the house yesterday. That almost never happens, but I am not sorry about it. I’ve been in hermit mode lately. I am truthfully trying so hard to save money, so I have been trying to stay home more on the weekends. It has been a little boring at times, but I know that it’s what I need to do right now. I am currently still in the middle of my website re-design and re-branding, on top of trying to save money, and truthfully pay off credit card debt. Oh and trying to juggle the balancing act of blogging and figuring this whole thing out. So, yeah….my spending is extremely limited right now. But that’s okay. I am actually happy to get myself in a better place and improve my financial status. Not that I am hurting or in a bad place by any means, because it could be WAY worse. It’s just something that I need to put effort into being better about. Going out to eat is my biggest expense. I have spent so much money on eating out, it kind of makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. I think I am going to challenge myself not to eat out one single time from now until October 1st. That’s like two weeks, so we’ll see how I do with that.

The purpose of my blog post today was to bring a few of my recent best sellers to you all (best sellers of the last week or so).

Makeup Organizer – this has been a repeat best seller for me. It is an amazing makeup organizer that is especially perfect for traveling. It fits all of my daily makeup perfectly. Whenever I travel I can literally just put it in the corner of my suitcase. It keeps everything perfectly organized and it’s probably the best makeup bag/organizer I have ever owned. I have many different ones that are the exact same style linked on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page.

Glycolic Acid Face Wash – this has been a Holy Grail face wash that I have used for months now. I have heard about this cleanser from one of my favorite bloggers, Jen Reed, and I am obsessed. It is an exfoliating cleanser that is gentle enough to use on a daily basis. I also have been double cleansing for a while now [also thanks to Jen Reed] using this cleanser first, followed by the Tula probiotic cleanser. My skins feels SO soft after I wash it. Unfortunately, this glycolic acid face wash is currently sold out, but it is from Amazon and it is a prime find. It has sold out a few times, but it usually does restock. I will be sure to post it on my Instagram stories + LIKEtoKNOW.it page when it is back in stock.

Vital Proteins Collagen Water – I have been using various vital proteins items for years. I previously only ever bought the collagen peptides, but as of recently I have also began implementing the collagen shots to my daily regimen. I really like the collagen shot for sleep. It knocked me out, which is really hard to do these days LOL. But the collagen water is so good also. There is a new flavor that many of y’all seem to be loving and that is Peach White Tea. I personally only bought it because I love almost anything and everything that is peach flavored. This water is super and is packed with 10g of collagen per serving and only 3g of sugar per serving. They also have other flavors, but I have not tried any of the other flavors yet.

Crew neck Sweatshirt from Target – I posted this a few weeks ago when I did a try-on session in-store at Target. I really love this sweatshirt because it is lightweight and it is perfect to wear with jeans, or dress down with leggings + sneakers (how I am dressed 99% of the time LOL). It comes in several colors, including camo print, and is priced amazing at $19.99.

I am super excited to do this blog post today because I am so happy to share best sellers that I are new to my little space (except the makeup organizer. It is a best seller for life, I do believe!). Although I have had a trying time dealing with stress lately, I am so excited because I know that I am about to get over this hump and onto the next phase. I am super excited to shoot some brand new looks this week. I will be sharing all of that as soon as I can. I will be also be doing a few try-on sessions this weekend coming up (Target, American Eagle, and maybe Old Navy). Be sure that you are following along on my Instagram (@the_blondeblogger). Also, make sure to follow me in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app - it is a FREE app and it so incredibly easy to shop all of my looks that way.

Hope you all have a FABULOUS week! Till next time :)
