Hey y’all! I hope your week is going smoothly so far and things are going well for you. My week has been off to good start. A lot is going on at work, but I try to remind myself it’s better to be busy and on the go than not have enough to do (job security!)

Last weekend I went to Dallas for Memorial Day weekend and I had such a great time. I wanted to share some of my experiences and findings in food, entertainment, and packing tips. I’ll be traveling there a little more regularly for now, so I’m the hunt to see all the best spots. The last few times I’ve been there we were able to check out a couple of cool spots and I just really wanted to share them with you all.

The Rustic - this was such a cool spot for day drinking. They serve brunch from 10-3 on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s really cool because although there is an indoor restaurant, there are huge doors that open to the outside, where there is a stage for live entertainment, picnic tables, and other areas to sit. The Rustic was also really nice because although there were plenty of brunchers present, it was also very family friendly! Such a great suggestion for brunch with the girls, or a day date with your significant other.

Off The Cuff - this was such a cool bar in Deep Ellum. We were going to Uber back to our place because I didn’t want to be out late drinking and feel awful on my flight back to Atlanta. But I saw it across the street and Carl had never been there before either so we ended up going there for a few drinks. It had a super cool vibe to it, with a huge cement bar in the center of the place. It was great - awesome service (our bartender was the best!), it was super clean, and had a great ambiance. I highly recommend checking it out if you live in the DFW area.

The Henry- this was a super nice brunch spot walking distance from our hotel. The food and drinks were on point and it had such an awesome vibe. A few of the bloggers that I follow that live in DFW recommended The Henry and I am so glad they did. My food was outstanding and my drink was so yummy.

Anvil Pub – I did not have any of the food there, but I order a mimosa and Carl ordered a Bloody Mary and let me just say – WOW! The garnishments were CRAZY extravagant and the drinks were so yummy. It was a really laid back bar, but I really liked it.

Those were really the only places we went that I can’t stop raving about. However, I know there are SO many places to check out, and seeing as I will be going back, I am definitely going to post more about the places we check out and places that I think you should check out too! In the meantime, I also wanted to link a few must have travel items. I only have a few (for now) and they are ALL Amazon Prime finds.

Rockland Suitcase set - this set is the best! It comes with 3 different size bags (small, medium, large). I purchased the leopard print (duh!), but it comes in a few different colors. I’ve been using this set for a few months now and I really love it. 10/10 for me!

Steamer - okay so this steamer is super small (easy to fit in your luggage). It’s about maybe $25-$40, but it’s so worth it. I originally bought it to steam my garments for blog photo shoots. I didn’t even think about using it for travel when I bought it, but it’s such a good idea. Again, it’s super small and easy to pack in your luggage, and it’s also very easy to use. Just be careful and don’t burn yourself!! Lol.

Makeup Organizer - first and foremost, this one is amazing. If you follow me on Instagram, you most likely saw a post I made last week. This is under $30 and is absolutely awesome. It also comes with a full set of makeup brushes and a little rubber piece to clean them with as well. It fits all of my makeup and some of my skincare too. I love love love and cannot recommend it enough!

I am so glad to be back in this little space with you all and promise to not ever go on such a hiatus like that again! Life got busy so I’m sorry! I have lots more goodies coming to y’all SOON!
