Hey y’all! Happy Monday! I hope that your week is off to a great start! I’ve been a little MIA, but I’ve been crazy busy with 9 million things going on! I moved over the weekend, so that was where my attention was for a few days. All I can say is that I’m glad that is over with! Although moving sucks, for me this symbolizes a new beginning. In fact, I have several new beginnings coming my way sooner rather than later (hopefully). I am working on some super exciting things and I cannot wait to be able to share it with you all. Just know that I have never been so excited about the future in my LIFE and I am seriously going to transform everything this year. And a side note - isn’t the best thing about moving the PURGE?! You all know what I’m referring to. Going through all of your stuff just makes me want to give everything away so I never have to move it again LOL!
During the move from over the weekend, I realized a few things about myself.
I need to work on managing stress properly.
I literally cannot accept help from anyone. At all. Like EVER. (That’s never going to change lol).
I really want to share some of my methods for managing stress. Clearly, I am not practicing these as much as I should, but it’s helped me in the past.
Getting an adequate amount of sleep. This is super hard for me. I always have a really hard time getting good sleep at night. But when I do, I feel SO good. I definitely notice that I amable to think more clearly and just overall feel better.
Essential oils. They seriously help calm me down! My favorites to use when I’m feeling stressed are lavender, bergamot, or frankincense. I just put a few drops on my wrists and rub it in, or put just a little bit on my temples.
Stay active and get moving! Working out is definitely the healthiest form of stress management for me personally. If I have a long, trying day at the office, I go in to the gym after work and just focus on my workout. I will literally go in there and as I get my workout going, I will think about whatever it is that’s getting to me. Whether it be something that I’m worried about, something that angers me, or something that’s just destroying my happiness, I focus on it and just start pumping out reps. It sounds crazy, but it is such an amazing stress reliever for me.
Take things one day at a time. I know that’s so much easier said than done. And I am the worlds worst person when it comes to stress and anxiety. But when you work hard on training yourself to just deal with things a day at a time and deal with exactly what is present at the time being, you make it a whole lot easier on yourself. Again, easier said than done. But if you make a small effort it can still really make a difference.
Ashwaghanda + L-Theanine. This is SO amazing for battling stress/anxiety. Probably my favorite regimen and has honestly been the most effective for me. Ashwaghanda for stress/anxiety and L-Theanine promotes a good mood. It may not work for everyone, but it’s been super effective for me.
Those are just the ways that I like to manage my stress. If y’all have any other tips please send them my way!
On another note, I am so excited for this week! Saturday I am having my first ever photo session for my blog. Although it is mainly for pictures for my website, I am sure I will get some great content in general for it. It makes me so happy to be on this journey. Thank YOU for visiting my website and supporting me. It means the world to me!
Have a fantastic week, y’all!
